'We, The People'

We, at the Department of Political Science, have planned to invite the following guests for 'We, The People' which is a part of Samanvay 2021. 
1. Mr. Shirish Deshmukh is the director of Padmashree Electronics. It is instrumental in providing some crucial technologies to the missile programme of India. He will interact with our students as an entrepreneur and an expert in the field. The title of his talk is 'India's Defence Preparedness: A Case for Self-Reliance'.  

2. Professor (Dr) Uttara Sahasrabuddhe (Head, Department of Civics and Politics, University of Mumbai) will shed light on some of the less-discussed aspects of the concept of Security. She will discuss the Changing Notion of Security. Our department is working closely with the University Department of Civics and Politics. This would help our students chart their way in the future. The close association with the University Department will help us have ties with some of the prime Foreign Policy, International Relations and Security Related Think Tanks. This would go a long way in ensuring internships for the best graduates of our department.     

3. Mr. Tanmay Kanitkar is the director of Anuroop Wiwaha based in Pune. His background as an entrepreneur and his vast experience in advocacy for transparency in governance makes him a suitable candidate to talk about Entrepreneurship, Politics and Governance.
