Biotechnology is a vast field weaving the basic sciences into an interdisciplinary approach. It is hence a discipline designed to prepare students for a research ready background. As one walks through the syllabus it will be evident that it encompasses a variety of subsections from different science disciplines which in the end connect to each other. The course encompasses fields like cell biology, immunology, fermentation technology, Genetics, Genetic Engineering etc. other than this; entrepreneurship is encouraged by making it an integral part of the syllabus. This broadens the scope of a student to think beyond the limits of a regular job. Aligned to industry and commerce, we introduce the students to the concept of intellectual property rights (IPR) and its provisions in Law.
