Message from Head of Department

I Megha Sawant, Head, Department of Computer Science & IT, Welcome you to the Department of Computer Science & IT. I am proud to be associated with Ruia college for over two decades as student, faculty and now head of the department.  I firmly believe in education that triggers not only the intellectual ability but also motivates mind and soul positively to create, share and apply knowledge. I am fortunate to implement my ideas with the support of institution, colleagues and students.

We are always in the process of tuning the young minds to make them globally competitive. We, educators, believe in the principle “Learn by doing” with more emphasis on the practical implementation of concepts and Project-based learning with applications to real-world problem-solving. We focus on catering to the needs of Millennial learners with enhanced ICT tools for collaborative learning,  blended learning and flipped classrooms. We strive to maximize the potential of each student by maintaining a positive and trusting relationship. We organize various activities like Intercollegiate IT Festival TechStorm, Seminars, Workshops/Training on recent Trends and Technologies, Alumni Talk. All these activities are managed by students that enhance their leadership qualities,  interpersonal and communication skills. We strive to inculcate ethics and morals in students through various social activities. Enthusiastic and passionate faculty team has impacted on an excellent performance of students in placements, academics and certifications. Our students are bringing glory to our department by performing well globally in their endeavours.

To conclude this message, I would like to welcome bright young minds to be part of our team and we together would accomplish our ambitions.
