
Political science department is one of the most active
departments of the college, which is working for the overall development of the
students and is engaged in sensitizing the students and the community at large
about the political process. Number of steps are taken to enthuse the students
to study the various marginalized people by the state. All the new techniques
are used in the classroom to make the subject easy and interesting.
The department stated Training & Guidance Centre for
UPSC and MPSC Examinations for the present and past students of the college.
Free counseling is provided to all students.
The department also organizes Human Rights Day every year,
which is an annual event. This is an activity where the department also goes
into the society to make the people aware about the importance of Human Rights.
Survey is also conducted in the vicinity and police stations, which gives a
first hand information to the students.
Eminent speakers like Teesta Satalwad have delivered
lectures on various aspects of human rights.
The department annually organizes study tour in some
tribal area with some NGO who is working for them.
