The Information Technology Centre of R. Ruia College offers Career oriented courses in Computers.

DOEACC Accredited 'O' Level Computer Course

The Information Technology Centre of R. Ruia College conducts 'O' Level Course offered by DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accredited Computer Courses) since 1994. It is now a fully accredited institute for this course since July 2000. This is a part time one-year Foundation course in Computer. This course prepares for the examinations held in the month of January and July.

The course is made up of four modules

Module I

1.1 Information Technology
                        Or
1.2 Internet and Web Page Designing

Module II

2 PC Software

Module III

3 Business Systems

Module IV

4.1 Programming and Problem solving through 'C' Language
                                            Or
4.2 Programming and Problem solving through Visual basic

Eligibility
10 + 2 from any stream (Science, Arts and Commerce). No percentage barrier.
Admissions to this course are open from 1st of December for January Batch and 1st of May for June Batch.

CCC (Course on Computer Courses)

This is a three months course for layman, which helps him to interact with the Computer and use its applications. This course is offered by the DOEACC, Government of India. For which the training is held in the fully accredited institutes. This course prepares for the Examination held by DOEACC in the Month of January, May, and September.

This course covers the following topics:

Eligibility: - Anybody who can read and write English and wish to be a Computer Literate can join this course.

S.J.S.R.Y. ( Suvarna Jayanti Shahari Rojgar Yojana)

This basic course is conducted for the benefit of underprivileged students. This course is offered by BMC (BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation) under its Suvarna Jayanti Shahari Rojgar Yojana. The forms for this course are available in the Municipal Ward Office with the Community Development Officer (Samaj Kalyan Adhikari).

Eligibility: - Anybody who fulfils the conditions laid down by the BMC (Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation) can join this course.
 

D.I.T. (Diploma in Information Technology)

This is a six months part time Certificate Course designed by Information Technology Centre of Ruia College for a layman. This course covers various topics right from Fundamentals to Programming Languages. It includes introduction to Hardware and Networking. Course contents for this course are as follows:
