Availability: 2012-13 This table provides general availability based on yearly timetable of the faculty and is provided with a hope of increasing student teacher interaction. Daily routine may vary somewhat from time to time and students are requested to check out with individual departments. In case of any difficulty in contacting faculty memebrs students are requested to take help from Head of respective Depts, IQAC or Vice Principals.

1. Standardisation of Lipase assay using Lab on paper technology
2. Metagenomic study involving comparison of methods for extraction of genomic DNA from soil samples.

1. Development of RIA for VEGF using recombinant protein & monoclonal antibodies in collaboration with BRNS & DAE: 2007 to 2010
2. Screening of lipase producers using lab on paper technology, funded by Mumbai University, 2011-12
3. Metagenomic study on lipase producing gene & its amplification using PCR.
4. Study of molecular mechanisms involving synthesis of Silver nanoparticles.

1. Organized a 2 days national conference on ‘Interdisciplinary Strategies in Biology' & alumni meet in December 2011.
2. Organized a seminar by Dr. Abhishek Chakraborty in June 2010 on  Unpalatable cellular proteins & their utility in defining novel approaches for cancer therapy.
3. Organized a seminar on primer design by Dr. Savita Kulkarni im Jan 2011.
4. Organized a lecture series on biostatistics by Dr. M. R. Rajan, Director, RMC, BARC for the benefit of TYBSc students from 2007 to 2010.
5. Organized a lecture on Biotechnology: Production to Marketting by Dr. Meera Verma in 2008.
6. Organized a 4 days workshop in Science for schoolchildren from Mumbai suburbs from 2006- 2009 in collaboration with an NGO,Jidnyasa.
