This page provides a brief background and link to this wiki project pages

This project is undertaken by teachers and students of FYBSc Microbiology 2009-10 batch and involves use of semantic wiki technology for enhancing the learning experience of Microbiology

Semantic wiki technology allows use of subject specific ontology to enhance basic wiki software. This allows collaborative learning as well as individualized learning to students. How to Participate

At present this project is open (for active participation) to FYBSc students of Dept of Microbiology. Any one can view the pages though but cannot contribute.

Students of other classess  (SY /TY), if intrested, can initiate their own class project. Please contact Head, Dept of Microbiology for further details.

FYBSc Microbiology students should get themselves registered for this project. Registration process involves

1. Obtaining an individualised login id & password from Department or by sending email to Head Dept of Microbiology
2. Go through orientation material that will briefly acquaint you  to concepts of wiki, semantic wiki and ontology so that you understand how to enter, edit, format text in our wiki
3. Get familiar with the overall plan of this project and then help its further development and refinement by your active participation
4. To explore the power of semantic wiki think deeply about subject structure, different possible organizations and interrelationships amongst different topics

You do not need password or log-in ID for just browsing the wiki site.
