Mr. Suhas Chavan (in leave vacancy) M.A. Dr. (Smt.) Varsha S. Shirgaonkar is an eminent historian who has four books (one co-authored) and twenty-five research articles in the journals of national and international repute, to her credit. Formerly, a member of Board of Studies in History, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, in the capacity of subject expert, presently she has been appointed by Government of Maharashtra as a subject expert on Marathi Vishvakosh Mandal. She has had presentations at national and international levels (University of Venice, Italy, August 1997; University of Sydney, Australia, January 1999; London, June 2003; San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego, California, July 2003). A member of several academic bodies of the Mumbai University she is presently on the M. Phil. Committee among others. She is also a Ph.D. Guide and so far 2 students have obtained degrees under her guidance, 2 students have completed the work while the work of 1 student is under process. Ms. Mohsina Mukadam is a regular columnist in the Marathi newspapers on ‘Food Culture’.

Rajatarangini History Association • Carries out programmes related with History. • Visits to Museums and archives. • Collaborative programmes with Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies, Nasik • Visits to historical places. • Sends students for the annual research methodology workshops. • Participation of students and their obtaining of prizes in the research paper presentations.
