DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS

 

Department of Economics is the largest department in Arts faculty. More than 12o students every year enroll for economics. There are 4 full time teaching faculty members and one person on clock hour basis.

  2. Smt. Aditi Abhyankar, M.A.
  3. Smt. Varsha Malwade; M.A.
  4. Smt. Devayani Ganpule; M.A.

 

 

  1. Smt.  Mangala Tendulkar 

 

      Prof. Mangala Tendulkar is the Head of the Economics department since 2003. She was also actively involved and Incharge of Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC); Smt. Mangala Tendulkar is recipient of third prize for Minor Project presented in Mumbai university, during the year 2005-06.

 

      She was Professor Incharge of N.S.S. Unit of Ranarain Ruia College for last so many years. She was Awarded Best NSS Programme Officer Award at University as well as District Level during the year 2006-07. Smt  Mangala Tedulkar was selected as a Course Writer for revised syllabus of T.Y. B. Com. Paper III on Business Economics. 

 

  1. Smt. Aditi Abhyankar co- writer for S.Y.B.A. Macro Economics and T.Y.B.A. Indian Financial System text book. She has worked as an In charge of Planning Forum activities for several years. 

 

  1. Smt. Varsha Malwade was Chairperson of VPM. She is co- author of “Ruia Kal, Aaj ani Udya” a book of “History of Ruia College” and also an associate Editor of Ruiat .

 

           Smt. Malwade is co- ordinator for B.M.M. Degree Course from this year.

 

  1. Devayani Ganpule . 

 

            She was chair person for Career Guidence Cell for last four years. She is

             the Incharge of Quality Assurance Cell.  She is the In Charge of NAC

              Committee.

 

             All the members of the Department are working as visiting faculties and

             And the Resourse Persons. The members are regularly attending  

              Seminars, Workshops, and Conferences on the relevant subjects to

              Acquire / get an exposure to latest subject knowledge. They also presents

             Papers in some of the seminars / confefrences.
