Research
Research activity is an integral part of the academic program of the Ruia College for decades now.
In a University system, generally, research activities are mainly considered to be the responsibility of university departments, while colleges are required to deal with undergraduate education. But in changing times, Ruia College has understood the role of research in UG training and has developed more than adequate infrastructure and research culture over past several decades and as well fostered the training of masters and doctoral students. Our almni now hold important posts in Industry and Research Institutes.
Research activities also enables college to actively interact with industry. Undergraduate students are actively encouraged to participate in these activities.
Research Interests of Faculty
Need of coupling research activity with undergraduate training was long understood in Ruia College. There is along tradition of research activities conducted by endowed and curious faculty members of different departments. Coupling of research activities with teaching has helped add new dimension to teaching-learning activities, and provided a platform for students to interact with reputed scientists and industrialists.
